If they have been on the forum for a while and post regularly then they should be a trusted person. That can be found out. I don't think that person would want bad p.r. and you posting on here about it. There are some bad eggs but would see what others say about them first. Pay thru PayPal so if there is an issue u can file a claim. Others on the forum will let u know if the person ur dealing with can be trusted.

my theory is stick to vendors with good reps, which is all of them on here from what I've been told, I've only dealt with a few but they are all top notch businessfolk.
Now...buying from the marketplace from other members may or may not be ok haha. It is the internet after all. My guess is you will be fine as this is a pretty tight run community for the most part.
