have this arowana that has a bend in his back wasnt sure what it was read that it might be broken back and that putting a powerhead in the tank sometimes helps them so i did that but doesnt seem to be doing anything for it so not sure if that is the issue.... other than that he seems fine he eats very well and doesnt have any other issues i can see..... the tank he is in is a 300 gallon 6 x 3 foot print and water conditions seem fine as far as ammonia nitrite and nitrate

My firstcand oldest polypterus, fyodor-9 y/o senegalus, broke his back a month or so ago. He swims against the current of my power head almost daily. It looks therapeutic and his back seems slightly straighter than the day I came home to discover him in that condition. Not sure if that helps. Im sorry about your aro.

What did you read about power heads and broken backs? Any links?

That's a birth defect not a broken back
