The ph in my 220 is 7.6 and I am curious whether that's too high for South American cichlids? If it's too high for South American is it too low for Africans? I am not willing to change the ph I just want to know what it is that would thrive best in my ph as I don't want any health issues! Thank you all in advance!

Its not too high for South American Cichlids. I've keep oscars before in 8.3 and no issues. I'm not 100% sure about African's but I think your fine. Most fish can adapted to most pH levels, especially if they are locally bred and already use to your local water parameters. Keeping the pH consistent is way more important.

Agree with the above, my pH averages 7.8 and I keep these S Americans, many have spawned in this slightly above neutral water

as have these Africans

and Madagascans
