I have a senegal whose with me for over a year now and has been pellet trained since I got him. He eats shrimp pellets, sinking carnivore, massivore. But since last week he seem to be interested only in superworms or market shrimp, he doesn't accept my diy food either and in the past he will eat it like a monster . Do you guys know how to make him eat pellets again? will starving him do good?

How big is the sen? Can always try feeding every other day. Even if u got to starve him a bit. The sen should come around.

I wouldnt starve him, but I would just kind of hold off a little bit, however long you determine is necessary. Although I will say feeding those other items (except shrimp) and that he is accepting those isn't really a bad thing. I think once you start holding him out (especially since he's already trained) he'll comeback around. I wouldn't be too worried though as long he's eating he should be fine

You put it in better words than I did about holding off/starving in regards to food. Thank you!

That's a decent size for a Senegal and likely his growth is plateaued. He will grow very slow. But will grow. Would do what Dr B mentioned. What he's acceding is a good varied diet. Try give him a couple days off and offer again.

Well I saw him eat a couple of shrimp pellets today so I'm not worried anymore. Well I read online that sens can grow up to 12"? Is that only for WC sens?

There aren't too many available wc sens. Most are cb. But wc may grow a bit bigger. There are a group from Turkana that grow larger but not available as the collection area is in an area of civil war. No one would would dare go as it'll be a one way ticket.
