I have a crayfish that molted a few months ago, and it's shell still hasn't hardened. The water hardness seems to be fine (it's about 6 degrees).

Your crayfish is deficient in something...probably calcium and/or iodine. Try supplementing(you can find them at your LFS in the marine dept.) and I bet you will be good to go. Also make sure you crayfish is getting a good diet, mostly vegetable matter. Try a high grade pellet as a staple food, Hikari Cichlid pellets seem to work.

I'm new to site so I don't know how to post but I have a flow knife and he always looks like he's dying he curls over with his head on my gravel and arched sideways and his tails touching the ground it almost looks like he's dying but when I go in to touch him he moves and looks like he's doing great I don't know if this is normal I just don't get why he's being like this let me know if any of you know thanks sorry if it doesn't make sense.
