I'm thinking about buying this 125 for $150 the silicone seems fine but the brace has a few cracks in it the major crack is where the center brace meets the side bracing. The side bracing is separated for about .5-1" but connected by the center brace. Would upload pics but as most of us know pics aren't working

If it was built with a brace it was meant to be used with one, why risk it? You could probably get a new top frame if your in to the diy side of things

I've heard the top brace doesn't offer much structural support. The majority of the pressure is going to be at the bottom anyway. I think most of the strength comes from the silicone between the panes of glass. you could either repair the brace, or buy a new one, trim the old one off with a razor blade, and silicone the new one on. A cracked brace isn't a deal breaker to me, just my opinion. Could be wrong :)
