I bought a couple silver dollars from my LFS that have the red anal fins, round shape and very shiny body. However, today I was buying some dog food at petco and bought another silver dollar labeled as Metynnis argenteus (not the same store as the LFS) which wasn't quite as round, not as shiny, no red on the anal fin, has spots and a red mark next to the pectoral. I was just wondering if these are the same fish or possibly a Metynnis lippincottianus or Metynnis maculatus. I have posted a couple pics of of the 1st silver dollars i bought and the one I bought today with the spots. Help on ID'ing these guys would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
