Guys a few weeks ago I swapped out the the black gravel in my 55 for black sand and love it. Now I wanna swap out the black gravel in the 150 but dont want something as dark as black sand but not as light as pfs. Can you guys suggest something in the middle and if possible include pics.

I feel the darker decor bri gs out the colors of the fish more but would like to livhten it up a little. This is what the tank looks like now.

3M Colorquartz, when the guys carried it here locally, carried a ton of colors. Various shades of brown as well. I forget the name of the company that has that stuff now (we dont get it locally anymore since the 3m name switch) but I'm certain you'd be able to find what you're looking for and then some.

It looks like ceramaquartz was the replacement.

Jesus, it really looks like they severely limited the color selection however:

http://www.permacolorquartz.com/pdf/pooldoc.pdf

I'm not sure if this Perma ColorQuartz is much different than the CeramaQuartz but it has all the old color sheets it looks like originally available through 3m.

http://www.permacolorquartz.com/files/PermaColor_Standard_Chart_web.bmp

It specifically states that CeramaQuartz was the direct 3m replacement, however that sheet there for the PermaColor is identical to one of the old 3m sales sheets.

I tried finding the MSDS sheetrs for this CeramQuartz but was unable. Only could find the Permacolor.. the Permacolor is made with silica. that is NOT 3m Colorquartz.. the 3M stuff was color coated quartz. I assume this is CeramaQuartz as well as they bill it as the direct 3m replacement, but unable to find an MSDS for it to verify.
