my dovii spawned

So my dovii pair spawned. I have a few questions, i was wondering if the eggs are viable would they be greyish brown? Also i do water changes every other day, so should i cut back or just avoid they're area? Thanks mfk

Congratulations on the spawn , if the eggs aren't white and grey /brown colour there fertile , either be very careful doing wc's or put tights/stockings on the end of the pipe so they can't get sucked up , it probably worth putting a piece over you filter intake too as the babies will end up in your filter , I lost most of my jags last fry to my fx overnight :banghead: schoolboy error I know , next time I'll be syphoning them into a breeding trap as soon as there wrigglers

I don't have a pair, but have bread carpintis, salvini, and had some eggs from blue rams. Brown eggs, you are good, white are infertile, and will be eaten. More importantly keep an eye on mom and dad. Watch for aggression from the male, it can get out of hand after breeding.
