Nice pics... You'll notice that the new camera should bring out the colours much more and improve the sharpness. 
Great start, Mike. In my experience, the best fish pictures come from using strong/bright tank lighting and a high ISO without the flash. This usually shows the most accurate/true coloration of the fish. As for flash photography, using a remote flash above the tank will give you the most clarity and sharpness if you're going for that look. Best of luck and enjoy the new DSLR!
