Nice looking tank…. I have a similar setup and am trying to decide if I should leave the bottom open or go with a substrate (most likely sand). Any suggestions?

I would definitely need to purchase something that can hold it's own with my Jardini and stir up the sand to prevent toxic build up…. (catfish, large loach, etc.)

What materials are you using for the build?

1) Acrylic (expensive)
2) Glass
3) Plywood
4) Some combination

I built and plumbed a 260 gallon tank, but just couldn't run the risk of something going wrong. I wish you the best of luck and would love to see the pics. along the way.
