Adding fish 1 at a time is usually problematic, because the new fish is at a distinct disadvantage, and the established fish that have the most invested, are reluctant to let any of that space/territory go (even young fish).
If the pearsei can make the first week, it should be OK.
I find pearsei and their close cousins bocourti are ravenous vegetarians, and do best when offered herbivore pellets, and leafy foods, and will also gobble up thawed, shelled peas.
My bocourti reduced a very woody, 3 ft papyrus plant to almost nothing.
They also the eat algae I scrape from the glass, and will eat clumps of algae I toss in from my pond in summer.
even better, they eat dandelions I pull from the yard.
