well one of my tanks started leaking from the bottom. luckily it was just my 10 gallon planted tank. got all the fish and plants in another tank, drained and now im stuck. its so cheap to replace a 10 gallon is it worth it to reseal it? more so for the experience of learning how to do it. is it difficult? any suggestions, tips, etc. greatly appreciated :)

Honestly not worth it for a 10 gallon. You'll need some razor blades to scrape the silicone, the silicone, some rubbing alcohol/acetone and time. The supplies probably cost just as much a new 10 gallon. If you want to learn how to do it, go for it! But it's more trouble than it's worth.

Buy another 10gal. They were on sale for $10 at Petsmart this past weekend (by me anyway). I would definite try to salvage the leaking 10 at another time, if for nothing else, but the experiences of it. A tube of GEI silicone is more than enough and will only cost about $5
