My favorite fish died last night

I've had him for about three years. Pretty devastated. I knew his time was coming but I was hoping it would happen during the summer because the semester I don't have much time to look at my tanks other than to feed and do water changes. He was swimming around yesterday morning so I guess he died over night.

I had a Dempsey for twelve years. What a fish! Never had one look as good or last so long since; I still miss that fish. All that to say I feel your pain.

Sorry for your loss Ehh.

He lived a good life under your care rather than a short miserable life in tiny, toxic bowls.......like the fate of way too many bettas

Thanks everyone. He lived his life in a 10 gallon. About 7 months ago I planted it. I tired to give him a good life. I worked a petstore for a while an know how they're usually treated.

What is a gungfu fighter?

And why was this moved to "breeding"?

Hi,
I am sorry for your loss.I love Betta Splenden,had many over the years.I currently have a lovely red coloured one on its own in an 8gallon tank.
Superb fish,especially when they show off on seeing their own reflection.

Gungfu is the correct term for Kung Fu. Mine are the ones that kill those they call 5 stars :)
