I cannot seem to find anything in this, though I am sure I have read about it in the past.

Has anyone tried using crushed glass as opposed to sand in a sand filter for their fish?

I tried the search on my mobile who
With no success

Wha..?????
Sorry....http://www.vitroclean.com

While sand filters are convenient, for aquariums some of the issues have been clogging, channeling, not being cleaned enough or needing excess water to properly clean.

Glass is supposed to be better for these issues.

I was certain I had seen one or two people on here who has tried such and found success.

Possible I have imagined or dreamed this as well.

Alot of people use sintered glass media like the little eheim coco puff looking balls.

Maybe you were thinking of sintered glass?

I suppose anything can work. I've heard of people using Legos and armymen in wet dry filters instead of bioballs lol
