Hi there I have a 250 galon tank... I use a 5 ft trickle box filter w/ 6000L/hr Pump. The trickle filter has 4 layers and 4 colums totalling 16 trays. What Media should I place in the trays?
Currently what I have is:
1st layer = 4 Koi/Japanese Mats ( to help distribute the water)
2nd layer = Filter Pads
3rd Layer = Ceramic Rings 8L in total
4th Layer = 4L Ceramic rings and 4L Sea Chem Matrix
I currently have an arowana, flagtail and blue emperor, I'm planning to add 5 discus fish.
Any improvements I can do? also anything I can add to help w/ nitrates?
