I was watching TV in my bedroom and heard a crash. I walked into the kitchen then saw in the dining room. All the fish food, lights , covers and center brace inside the fish tank(75 gal). Yep, the center brace gave way. I first unplugged the lights(they were off already), then pulled them out(by the dry wire), then the food. My change bucket was close by so I drained 20 gallons to take some pressure off the glass. Got my spare 55 from the garage. Then then took about 25gallons from the 75 to the 55. Moved the fish.

I just got back from petsmart with some silicone. Hoping to get it done tonight.

Here two of the 75 then the 55 on the ground.

Bad luck. I had the bottom on a 125 split once, it was not fun. Fortunately there were`nt any fish in it yet. Hope your repair turns out well.

Just finished scraping the old silicon. Waiting for the wife and kid to finish eating before applying the new silicon

seems like you got lucky that it Didn't blow out.

I just posted a rather boring thread about moving an old 40b, it seemed ok, but when my friend and I moved it, the tank flexed, like actually twisted. All 4 corners flexed. I cant believe I never flooded my home. Total madness

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I drained the tank before any leaks happened.

Going on 3 days now since the 'reseal' of the center brace. I just now filled the tank. Put a used(filters) HOB on it but cleaned the canister since it was overdo for a cleaning anyways.

Doubt I'll put any fish in it tonight. Tomorrow I'll put a few(less then half).

Finished with the tank(repair and restocked) last night. I added the fish in three sets of about 5 fish per set over the week.

Just got a few minor clean up to do(extra lids and nets). The 55 is outside trying to dry before it goes back in storage.

A thanks to my wife who helped at the very beginning and end(moving the 55)
