Stock Advice

I’ll be getting a pool to make into a pond for my six tiger oscars in the next few months and I wanted a second opinion on the tankmates I’m considering. The pool will be 10' wide and 30" deep, and about 1,000 gallons. Here’s the list of what I’m considering:

Tiger Oscars
Marble Catfish
Vieja synspila
Geophagus sp
Silver Dollars

I’m open to other suggestions as well.

As much as I like gar, they are illegal in Utah. The peacock bass idea sounds cool, and my only concern with Arowana would be their jumping. I don’t want to come home to a dead fish on the floor.

I might do that, there was a nice looking trio of albinos at my local petsmart when I went the other day… I don't see reds to often though, and wildcaught ones would have to be ordered.

Would rays work?

I didn't think about that, I think I'll add two or three. I can find those locally here, so I could get them now to start growing them out.
