Does anyone know of any large, fully aquatic species of salamander (aside from axolotls)? And if so, where can they be purchased? I've been trying to find a site that sells Mudpuppies or Hellbenders, with no success.

Hell benders are protected in every state where they range. you could try aqua scape online I think they sell some aquatic salamanders or newts
They only sell fire belly newts, just checked. Was looking for something a little bigger, any idea if mudpuppies are protected? Turns out hellbenders and mudpuppies are two different species.
My thoughts exactly. I like the greater siren, too. Not sure about amphiumas, though. They sorta creep me out lol
