Usually this is a sign of Hemorrhagic septicemia. it is treatable using API Triple Sulfa.

Water changes are always a good idea. What are your water parameters? Ammonia, nitrites, nitrate and pH. The up side is 3x is pretty mild and if used as directed is not harmful to bb so the fish can be treated in the main tank. Keep the water and filters clean. If the redness returns treat with the 3x.
