I've taken it as a supplement to try and chelate and remove metals from our bodies. Never heard of this application though

I used it ages ago with my little tanks. I ran an undergravel filter with zeolite cartridges instead of charcoal. There's plenty of products out there using zeolite, Marineland calls it White Diamond (http://www.marineland.com/Products/...te-diamond-ammonia-neutralizing-crystals.aspx), Fluval is almost double the amount for less cost http://www.thatpetplace.com/fluval-ammonia-remover-98oz.

The last link below gives more specific directions of use. I used the cartridges below in my tank, I guess they did ok, the gravel probably filtered more waste overall with BB. I run carbonless now unless I'm removing a medication. If I were looking at this product again for my tank I'd want a small sized rock to get the most surface area possible, for that, Fluval's product looks to be the smallest size. I'm sure larger wouldn't hurt, and the price isn't bad at all either. As a side note, it's also used to de-stinky the cat box (http://www.petsmart.com/supplies/st...d36-26392/cat-36-catid-600020?var_id=36-26392).
