So today I took a giant leap for mudbuttjoneses everywhere. I took a (brand new) aqueon 800gph pump that I've had for a few months now. And hooked it up to 1.25" corrugated sump discharge hose. I almost went for the 1.5" hose but im glad I didn't. this stuff is heavy and unweildy when filled with water. Stuff is way cheap. $6 for 24ft and comes with a hose barb (MPT x female hose)

BEHOLD MY MASTERPIECE!
It has Ballvalves so I can be lazy and leave water in it between water changes, and the wife cant yell about water on the carpet. The pvc section on the end is a chunk of plumbing from an old sump set up all glued together. It pays to be a pack rat.

I've got a 90g and 40b sump in my kitchen, a 75g in my bedroom, and a 40b in the living room

My problem is that it can drain the 90 gallon in a few minutes, which is much faster than the sink can drain, in the summer I'll run this outside. Luckily the pump has adjustable flow from 340-796gph. So it works ok on the low setting, the sink can barely keep up.

I also made this a year ago to replace my broken aqueoun water changer (python)
It works wonderfully but it takes over 2 hours to drain and refill the 3 tanks.

Yeah no luck for me either I just use three gravel vacs there all 50ft so two are just draining and one I'm using to clean it's a super fast drain for a 450g tank so I drain about 250g in 10 min but sense I only have one kitchen sink it takes about 30min + to fill back maybe 40 but my tank is in my living room so I just watch TV and wait it's not that bad

Runs to the tub for less of a mess

I still drain my 40b planted tank with it. The pump and 1.25" hose is a little much for this little tank.

I refill all 3 tanks with my water changer. Its crazy now that I can drain the 75g and 90 faster than I can fill them up.

Just need a little prime and we're good to go

I'm pretty excited. I can do all 3 tanks in less than an hour now. I can drain the 75g and 90g with the pump in the time it takes to Drain the 40b With my water changer. Then i can fill all 3 up in succession.

My apartment sucks, and obviously the bathroom does too as you can tell from the pics. (Blue toilet and bathtub? :screwy: :sly: ) we don't have a medicine cabinet or anything so the wife put some mirrored jewelry box thing on the toilet tank and filled it with bathroom junk... whats in there? Who knows? Women anr bathrooms are something ill never understand. I have like shampoo, deodorant, and a toothbrush. The rest of the room is filled with mysterious objects which I cannot comprehend haha
