Hey all so im thinking of adding some live plants to my tanks and hve no idea what to add. Probably gonna add some java fern at first (its the only plant i really know anything about.

I have two tanks.
75 gal (argentea, tiger babrs, gold nugget pleco) gets a decent amount of indirect sunlight. Using a marineland led that came with the tank.

150 gal (pearsei, heterospilus, rainbowfish, L600 pleco, L200 pleco, spotted raph) doesnt get allot of sun light but is in my living room so the tank lights are on for a decent amount of time. Using two current usa plus leds

want to start with the 75 gal and see how it goes. In Both tanks the substrate is pfs

Any suggestions on low maintenance plants ?

Any types of Anubias, its hardy plant and don't require any special lighting or CO2, it can be tie on driftwood or place on substrate. I would start out with Anubias + Java Fern for couples of week before adding other plants. Also, anubias is good for foreground plant too to create a jungle for bottom feeder like Cory Julli.

Edit: for community tank add few Octocinlus to control algae that might grow on your plants.

Thx yuki

I went with pothos for the 150 and java fern and anubis nana for the 75 gal

During wc the pothos roots will be exposed is that ok ?

Cheers lads :) that was all grown from the one little plant; I've had to give some to my dad, neighbours and other tanks it grows relatively quickly :)

Aquascaped it a couple of months back to add suction cups onto the side, and onto the main bit of driftwood; it was actually taking your advice Jaws to make it more natural lol :)

much happier with it, natural ornaments and live plants are much better for the whole Zen feeling IMO
