Perruno cannot be found in our hobby. It's a case of mislabeling.

I'm positive to create the named hybrid, Leiarius marmoratus was used.

From what Necro says and others who kept them (Oddball too?), they are not viable (my interpretation), that is they are hard to raise into adulthood or even sub-adulthood.

The search function is down :(

That pic is for sure of a young/stressed one. They are generally much darker. I raised mine to 18" before it and the rest of my fish were killed by my exwife. It was prone to illness and picked up infections very easily. I kept the salt a little bit high for a freshwater fish on mine and it seemed to do better along with constantly clean water from massive changes. Never had a super high appetite level like RTC but showed pretty good growth actually about intermediate between RTC and Marble catfish. Not a begginer hybrid for sure.

Thanks, Trent! That's the case in point. Your story is too common. This is not a viable "fishkestein". A few people managed to grow them past 1 foot, like the virtuosos Necrocanis and Oddball, but the exceptions only confirm the rule.
