I was wondering if anyone has ordered from these guys recently. I have built a list of 6-7 manufacturers/sellers that I have reached out to for pricing on a 300-350g tank and these guys are the cheapest by far. They have a Tsunami tank which is 8ft long x 2ft tall x 3ft wide for $2190 + $200 overflow/bulkheads and the shipping is free. With such a large tank I am weary and want to make sure I am getting good quality. I found a handful of reviews. Seems like a bunch of folks are happy with them but there were a couple of negative reviews.

Also, it looks like they use 1/2in acrylic for this size tank which I am not sure is enough.

I was going to get a custom tank from them after talking to about 5 other builders. These guys were gonna get my business. I felt most confident talking to him and he was going to do exactly what I wanted and wasn't trying to sell me other ideas that I didn't want. When I'm finally ready to cut my outside wall down to get it in the house, I will be contacting again to do the build

It was a 10x4x42 tall or 12x4x36 I keep going back and forth. Right now my 750 is 30" tall the extra 6" makes a world of difference in appearance to me. These size tanks are a boatload of cash though because of thickness. I've done a ton of research

I am not sure on how they treat their custom tanks. From what I read, they outsource the build of the tank to a number of different manufacturers. I believe the one manufacturer is Sun Coast Aquariums which apparently does not do very good work. The manufacturer they have on their website for the tank I am looking at is Tsunami which you cannot find anything about. I will give a call to confirm because apparently they have Tenecor listed as a manufacturer still.

Is 1/2in acrylic sufficient for a tank this size? It is not very deep (24in) but will be 3ft wide.

I wouldn't get any tank in a 1/2" acrylic. The used one I just bought was 1/2" and it bows like crazy. I'm in the middle of re bracing it. 3/4" is my big tank that's 30" tall. It is well made with a full sheet on top. They cut access holes in the top It is very strong.

I have reached out to FishTanksDirect to find out what the thickness of the acrylic will be. The other manufacturers came back with 3/4in acrylic and one wanted to use 1in acrylic. I am also trying to confirm who the actual manufacturer is. Their quote of 2190 for a 350g w/free shipping is ridiculously low and got my hopes up!

Here
3/4 minimum. I'd say Reinforce the seams before you set it up.
I wouldn't be comfortable with 1/2"
