Are gobys poisonous? I have a stone fish and he looks like the same as my stone fish... So I'm not sure if they are fr the same "family"?
Thanks in advance
Need to know what goby you're referring to (or a pic). There are over 2000 known goby species. Of those, only a few SW species are considered poisonous due to their consumption of organisms that contain or produce tetrodotoxin. No gobies are considered as being venomous (producing their own venom/poison).
Very nice Marbled Sand Goby (Oxyeleotris marmorata). Not poisonous. This is one of the larger FW gobies and can attain over 2ft in length. This predator cannot be trusted with tankmates less than 2/3rds it's size.
