I just added 350g of water to my new tank. Now no fish yet, but the water is cloudy, I installed a 700 gph pump with 10 micron water filter (2 hours ago) but does not seem to be helping. Any ideas on how to make the water clear ?

Could be bacterial bloom. Could be dust from substrate be stirred up. If its either of these 2 things, it'll clear up with time.

It took a while for my 300 gallon to clear up when I set it up I think just from depth of tank from front to Back and bacteria bloom

You can try UV combo for bacterial bloom. Literature said that white water is bacterial bloom.

If its just a bacterial bloom from a new tank, it'll clear up on its own....no need for uv

My frined's new set up was so cloudy you can't see any plants or decoration inside.

My 120 did the same, was cloudy white for a few days.

I have a UV in my canister, but was told NOT to use until tank is cycled. Not sure if that's true or not but I haven't turned on the UV yet but my tank is clear now.
