I am building a 4x3x3 plywood tank for some kind of lizard, not sure what kind yet. But this tank may need to hold a bit of water on one side to act as a pool. Can i use liquid rubber from lowes to seal the plywood?

Liquid rubber works great! Pond armor is epoxy and very expensive, waste of money imo

I've used pond armor and yes it is expensive, but looking at the difference between liquid rubber it's definitely worth it. But if this is just for a lizard that the water will not be the main viewing point, liquid rubber will do fine

In my experience, liquid rubber is much for forgiving, especially if the water portion is for a lizard.

I would be worried about a claw going through the liquid rubber. Some lizards have nasty sharp claws. Just my 2c

Yeah, I was going to say the same.. especially if it'll be a large lizard like a monitor. I always went with a raised wood floor so that you can counter sink an appropriate sized tub into the floor.

Or theres the obvious option of just using a plastic tub. But that doesnt allow me to get a veiw into the water area which i wanted. What do you guys think?
