So I built a pond because the plywood tank I was originally building is having some problems. I already had a friend holding some of my fish and my grow outs were starting to get to big, so I needed something quick and cheap to avoid hemorrhaging anymore cash. So I present to you my new 8x4x2 375 gallon pond. It took me only 2 days to complete the pond and another to build a stand for my filtration. All in all I spent about $300 on material. The 10x15 firestone liner being the most exspencive piece. I do however still need to finish the filtration, and construct a 24" railing/bank and maybe a lid, I do plan to have some jumpers. Im not concerned for cosmetics right now I just need it to do its job. Thank u mfk for the inspiration.

So today I upgraded my filtration and im going to be using 2, 40 gallon breeders I got off craigslist for $60 today. Yesterday I packed my 20 gallon brute bin full of k1 and I put 250 pounds of pool filter sand in the pond so the water is pretty nasty. I used black krylon fusion on all the external pvc, waiting for it to cure, and Ive worked out a new design for the plumbing.
