Second attempt at a planted tank 30 gal

Once its established it will unstoppable but the wait would be somewhere from 4 to 6 weeks (I said its a waiting game from your previous post ) It will be faster if you have a right condition full spectrum light would help alot but it will raise algae as well before your plants taking control.

I have had trouble getting my JF to take off. Trying to establish it in a large piece of DW. Let me know what works.

I dose trace element and flourish 1 a week, I have very light stock fish in my planted tank to the point I don't need to do water change at all. Also in my experienced moss grow out faster on old piece of DW than on a new DW you just got from the store. Some plants do get "shock" being introduce to new environment, even my green fox tail plants still getting shock and stop growing everytime I cut it down and replant it for more bushes look (it will stay in shock phase about a week before taking off out of control again )

Stop dosing Flourish for 1 or 2 week and reduce the time on the light so you don't have an algae outbreak, quite odd that your moss didn't progress much after 4 weeks, right? lol I really don't know what else to say cause everything I throw in my tank and it will grow out like weed within days not even weeks
