Hey all.. Looking to get a Jardini.. I'm a bit confused on pricing, though. Someone is able to secure one for me for around $150 at 5". Now this seems like a good deal considering aquascape has them for $225 at that price. Still, I'm seeing people getting them for around $30 smaller. Seems like a huge price jump for 2" when these guys grow quick enough. Can anyone tell me at what price I should be considering purchasing one? Also, if you can, show me where I can get them at a good price? Thank you all for your help!

i know one of those people got it marked as a silver mistakenly, others getting them that cheap are also probably getting them cheap due to mislabeling, seller not knowing the value, or having good wholesale connections. on that note i generally see them in the $150-250 range for a 5-6" fish. should also mention aquascape gets some phenomenal looking fish as i stop in there pretty often.

So you are saying paying $140 for one at that size isn't bad at all?

I remember when they were much less common in the aquarium trade and cheaper also. But with inflation the price might not be that much different.
