Ok so I have started to break down the Marineland 300. I broke the trim. Front panel is letting go so it had to come off.

I'm wondering if I can add eurosbracing to this tank in replace of the stock braced. Front back and sides are 5/8s bottom is 3/4"

Sorry the baby kicked my hand. Here's a couple pics of how I done my 125 gallon. I was in the same situation and tried for a couple hours to remove the trim without breaking it. I cut my glass pieces about an eighth of an inch shy of my inside dimensions and used styrofoam to hold them up while I injected the silicone between the panels.

Well I'm on my cell and not sure where the pics went. They're not showing up in my reply but said they uploaded.

I wish i could figure out how to get pics up. I'll also add that I saved enough of the trim to put down the edges of my glass bracing that I added so I could build my sliding glass lids.

Yea they're showing up now. Maybe I was impatient. Here's a couple after I got my lids done, I don't have any with just the trim but I'm sure you'll get the idea. The black is the old trim and the white is panel corner molding used for the sliding lids. The corner molding sits down on the lip of the black trim.

As far as strength goes, it should be fine. I've read and read and read over and over and over about doing it before I actually done it. My aquarium didn't have bracing originally, I mainly added it to have something to hang my lids on. And I figured if I over did it anything I'd never know.

Also I'm wondering about the bottom. This tank is normally on Trim. Can I put it on foam now that there is no trim?
