Hi guys, i bought the gulper catfish for 4 days and it doesn't eat anything. Can any ones tell me how to make it eat? How to hand feeding my gulper?My new gulper don't eat :(

Hi guys, i bought the gulper catfish for 4 days and it doesn't eat anything. Can any ones tell me how to make it eat? How to hand feeding my gulper?
Here's the deal (at least from my experience) with gulpers:
They don't like reasonable sized prey items. I had one for a week and a half and tried feeding goldfish. He was about 5" and he wanted nothing to do with them. I mistakenly threw a 4" red snook in the tank and within seconds it was gone. I waited a week and tossed him a 4" pool comet and the same result. Every time i tried a small prey item he ignored them, the minute larger fish hit the water he was on the hunt.

Amen. Needs to be large as said. Mine eat white shrimp from the seafood department, and fish. Can't get them to eat earthworms. They try to eat pellets, but they can't inhale food like other fish. They just grab it like a gar would. From what I understand, they hide around undercut banks and prey on fish at night. Angelfish make up a substantial portion of their diet. Mine are also gregarious. They really like to be in a group with other Gulper Catfish, or so it seems to me. Good luck.

I think my water is 80°F then do i need to increase the temperature? and i usually take out 30% of water after 3 days and put in new water. But my gulper turn to brown is that dangerous ?
