I just planted a few bulbs I bought at a Petsmart kind of on a whim.
After looking online, I'm halfway starting to regret not just buying live plants and was wondering if anyone here had any opinions or tips about them. I'm a researcher, so I've got nothing but an expectation of failure and a whole lot of patience. :grinno:

The bulbs all floated when I put them in so I buried them under some light substrate and am crossing my fingers. I don't have anything else in my tank (Fluval Spec 2) currently and was considering making it a mainly planted tank with some small invertebrates.

I used a pack of those about 5 years ago in my betta tank. I think about half of them ended up sprouting and doing really well, the other half just floated and rot. I kept looking it up and saw people saying just let them float and they'll sink on their own and they never did.
