I'm planning a 4 tank multi system consisting of (4) 40 gallon tanks and I'm looking to get about 13X turnover current in the tanks. This means roughly 520 GPH per tank. This would either require a pretty big sump pump like the Magdrive 18 or a smaller sump pump like the Magdrive 12 and running small powerheads in the tank for added circulation (I'm thinking an Aquaclear 20). I'd be running about 55 watts less with the smaller pump and powerhead combo which is nice since it'll cut down on electricity.
