Got a 28 high tank, most of the cichlids are at the bottom of the tank, any suggestions for a cichlid that would occupy the upper half ?

What are the other dimensions and is there existing stock? Does it have to be cichlids or just compatible?

thanks for the response, the tanks is 80 x 28 x 26... currently housing a pair of barred midas, 1 vieja, 2 red devils, texas, 6 silver dollars. Some of the fish will be removed like the SD...etc.
I prefer cichlids...
