I have a 300 gallon tall tank and I was wondering what would be some good monster fish. I really wanted a redtail catfish, but i think i might wait until i get my pond built. Maybe bass or something else. I like predator fish. so whats some predator options for this size of a tank?

I'm guessing a 5-6' tank if its a tall right? I'd go with cichla if that's what you want, you could get away with some species of piranha or wolf fish as well.

I'm setting up the same size tank in my living room. Will have Cuda, Odoe, couple of rays, and a group of freshwater morays. Probably grow some wolves and black aros out in it as well but will go to a bigger tank when ready.......

I stand corrected, I was just guessing. my 310 is 8x3x2 so I didn't think that was considered tall
My 300 us 6x3x27. 8x3x2 would be bigger then a 310?

hmmm...again you are right haha, I know its 3 wide and 8 long...maybe I'm screwing up the height. I definitely know its 310 haha. EDIT Its one of those days...its SEVEN long....lol
the tank is 6x3x27, I live in florida so i think piranha is not legal. Im kinda stuck between a native tank with black bass and blue gill or amazon style with the peacock bass or others.
