Is it normal for flowerhorns to not eat a lot? I just got this guy on Friday night and when I go to feed the fish, he hasn't tried to eat anything. Least while I was looking. Any ideas? And yes he's new to the tank. What kind of flowerhorn is he?

Zz. It might be eating when you aren't looking. I wouldn't be too concerned since you just got it. If after a week he hasn't eaten some concern should be raised. You can try live food like earthworms or butterworms to stimulate his appetite. Normally flowerhorns are extremely hungry and beg for food all the time. I can feed mine 20 pellets and walk by the tank and he'll beg for more. Give it a few more days then star looking for issues.

Oh yea he probably will. Fast moving little things that hide may make it awhile but slow big fish like that Oscar will get hit hard.
