Any ideas guys how these pumps are ? Any good ? Let's say if I have the option of aqeon or aquatop brand what you suggest ?

I've never used an aquatop pump.
I know aquatop and sunsun are part of the same distributor or supplier and I'm familiar with some of their other products and have had positive results with their canisters.
It boils down to the fact that 99% of what you find in the hobby is made in china regardless of branding. I've paid a pretty penny for some namebrand pumps like aqueon or danner. I'm happy with my purchase, but I know these pumps come with a good warranty and replacement parts are very much available.
If the price is right I'd give it a try. Just be cautious if this pump is running the life support from your sump. Any pump can fail. It's always good to have a back up on hand.
