I am thinking of feeding earthworms (nightcrawlers) to my lungfish.

Is there any way to prepare them first? I have heard of people feeding the worms bran fisrt, to clear the gut of any soil. Is this necessary?
Or can I drop them straight into the tank?

just drop them in, it won't hurt your fish. I feed nightcrawlers all the time.

Just take them out of the container straight into your fish's mouth, that's how I feed them.

It's not necessary but you can place night crawlers in a container with damp paper towels for a couple of days to clean out their digestive tract.

I went into the garden yesterday evening and dug around for some worms.

Found a few, but they weren't as big as I had hoped.
Anyhow, thought better be safe. So I put them in a container with some damp newspaper.
They will go into the tank this evening.
