Before you start a thread or post anything, please ask yourself the following questions:

1. Is this the right forum to start this thread? Every other species have their specific forums dedicated to them.
  • "Arowanas" covers South American arowanas, Australian arowanas, Asian arowanas, African arowana, and arapaima.
  • "Gars & Bowfins" covers true gars and bowfins. It does not cover the various false gars (rocket gar, etc.)!
  • "Knifefish" covers knifefish.
  • "Lungfish" covers lungfish, e.g. South American lungfish, Australian lungfish, and the African lungfishes.
  • "Polypterus" covers bichirs as well as ropefish (a close relative of bichirs).
  • "Ancient Fish" covers primitive fishes (Cornish jack, etc.) that do not have their own forum already as well as threads about multiple species of primitive fishes.

2. Has this topic or question been posted before? Use the search function to search for relevant topic that you have questions on. If you could not find any, then you post.

3. If you have a question, give more substantial information, e.g. what you have done and what are your observations. This will allow other members to aid you better.

4. If you have an opinion or a comment to pass, be tactful and state your reasons. Do not flame!

Threads posted in the wrong forums will be moved!
