Black Flowerhorn?

My cousin just bought a FH. I haven't seen it yet but over the phone he said it was black and bout 6-7in. I told him it was probably stressed out but he told me that the previous owner said that they had raised it from a juv. and it has always been black.

I've never heard of a black FH. I can't find any pictures on the internet. Has anyone ever seen or heard of this?

ive seen a few dark looking ones at the fish stores but they were just low grade

I'll try and borrow a camera and get pix. Now that Grummie2 mentioned a polleni, I think it is a FH mixed with a polleni. It has a body shape, color, and face of a polleni but the markings of a FH.
