could you use a galvanized steel stock tank to make a indoor pond? i was thinking about getting the 3' Wide x 2' Deep x 8' Long its only 170$ would make a nice tank. maybe keep my pbass in there when it out grow my 75. what do you guys think?

here is the site with the tanks http://www.stockyardsupply.com/page11/index2.html

oh, i was kind leaning to that one cause of the dimensions and the space i have. do you think i could have a pbass in a 58"L x 39"W x 25"H tank for live? i think that might be too small. or maybe a 6' x 2' x 2'?

the rubbermaid 300 gallon are better. metal one dont last very long and most are already starting to rust at the store
Rubbermaids are expensive.
Galvanized Troughs last pretty good IMO.
we have them on our farm and they are pretty tough.
A few weeks ago there was a tornado on our farm and some of them got picked up and thrown into other pastures.

One of the 10s was impaled on a tree but the others were just dented

but dont get me wrong the rubbermaids are tough too. just more pricey

my advice is dont use a bulk head.

use a large pump on the bottome of the pond and pump water into your filter and have the filter spill into your tank
