Hey all,

I'm sad to announce that I lost my 9-10" male marble motoro.

I'm not looking for a reason why, just some friendy encouragement, at this point.

About 3 weeks ago my male had been pretty pale, but I hadn't thought much of it because my female has done the same thing in the past. Tonight when I got home from work, I saw him upside down and breathless. WTF!!!

Ammonia=0, Nitrite=0, Nitrate=10ppm, pH=6.95-7.05

I only snapped a couple cell phone pics, so I don't have any to post, but the body was in 100% perfect shape.

Thanks for listening...

Here's a pic from a few months back.

Forgot to add. temp @ 81.5F, fed on market shrimp and frozen bloodworm. Everything else in the tank, including the female is feeding normally and very healthy.

Thanks for all your replys guys. I've lost many fish in my years, but tonight is pretty tough for me.

All who know me, can attest that I'm not a new aquarist, but I have to say this is one of the very few unexpected and unexplainable deaths which I've been repsonsible for.
