I can see why you would see similarities.

The long armoured body and prehistoric face. And the way the caudal sort of blends into the back end.

Plus they both breath air.

They dont remind me of Poly's. But i can see why you might say that.

Agree alot of ancient fish have alot of the same traits/similaritites but closer to a big arowana..

they are real beast..

why?
hardly to raise compare to paiche, the freswater submarine.

A polypters that had a brick dropped on its head perhaps?

I mean they're both long, and both fish, and both have big mouths, but thats about it. They spend most of their time swimming in mid water, rather than sitting on the bottom.
