WHAT IS THIS FISH????????

hi ya,
so i went to my lfs yesterday and saw this fish, so out of curiosity i asked what it was and what did it go with etc, and the people didnt know....apparently a couple of weeks ago someone just turned up with it, handed it over and ran out the door!
so i went back today and took some pics to see what you all thought.
pics are a little blurry but think you will get the jist of it

looks like a distichodus sexfaciatus but the snout is longer...hmmm

Still, how much do they want for it? Typically those fish are very pricey at that size so you might be able to pick it up for next to nothing.
 
its £40 and its about 19inches give or take, i dont want it lol apparently it goes for everything and even the people at the shop, so would have to be kept on its own.
 
Most definitely a distichodus.... the store I work at has a very large one in a 500G tank.... if you have the space for it you should buy it, they make awesome additions

That is a great price though, and they are cool fish. Too bad you don't have the space!
 
well tell me about it and i will see if i can make the space lol
i mean is he going to have to be solitary or only woith bigger fish, is he as aggresive as they say? etc....

I was going to go with sexfaciatus too, but noticed that the snout was off.
 
just been looking it up and iv found that its a distichodus lusosso, longsnout distichodus.
but alot of sights are saying they dont get bigger that about 12inches, andf hes already that size. does anyone have one or know how much bigger he can get? otherwise im seeming to warm up to him and wouldnt mind getting him lol....i knew there was a reason i shouldnt have posted it on here lol
