XXblown408(local guy) and myself(white boy) hit up Lake Wilson on Oahu today and this is what we got. I missed a bunchof LM bass strikes and had one get off at the boat. Overall it was a great day and I got a bad sunburn.

Thats totally awesome, LMB and Pbass in the same area. Never new there was such great fishing on hawai (freshwater).
Geez!! How much does my life suck? I'm stuck in the cotton belt of MS and it's 20 degrees. You guys are IN Hawaii AND fishing for LMBS ALONG with Pbass. Yep, leaving the Navy (and regular visits to Pearl) was a great idea.

.I have caught 2 so far. One with rod and reel, and the other with a scoop net at night. Both were about 12-15".
Thanks for posting.. I grew up in HI. I always heard that peacock bass and LMB were running in the lake. I wasn't much of a fresh water guy, other than fishing in Nuuanau Resevoir during the catfish runs.
