Just curious if anyone got some of those pikes from John. Not sure on their actual size, so I am curious to see any more pictures.

If you got some of the ones he was selling from this last batch please post some pictures in here, as well as any observations/comments you have on them. I know that at least some of you had to get some of them.

Here is a picture of the pike in question. I have my theories as to what they are, but they ARE small, so that could change. Shoot, for those prices it really doesn't matter, they look like they are going to be awesome pikes no matter. Post those pictures though so we can see their progression as they grow!!!

Are these the ones John is selling as C. marmorata from a couple weeks ago? I got two of them. They still look basically identical to the picture you posted. I'm seeing a red tip along the top of their dorsal fin. The vertical bars on the fish come and go, but most of the time they only show the dark horizontal bar along their body. I can't tell you much about them aside from that, as these are my first pikes. It took them about four days to start eating my Hikari pellets. Once they started feeding they were like completely different fish. They're out and about in their quarantine tank and don't seem too shy at all. They're cute little guys.

I want some Tapajos pikes!

I was going to get one, but I got a big fish and he couldn't fit it in with it

hoping to get a T1 from Ira

i have one arriving tomarrow along with a L65 cactus pleco, wanted to get one because im curious, just kind of wondering if it may have been collected in the same area as the L65 as he received both these two fish in the same order, does look like a johanna var. and if it shares a similar collection point it could be johanna maraba as they share the same waters with L65, just a hunch i guess, i remember seeing a post about "maraba" a month or so back and seen a 5inch pic poted, fish seem to carry a few simularities to john's, but who knows pikes can change in appearence pretty quick depending on age, i guess i can make a better guess at it once i see the fish in person, only pikes i have owned are xingu i and johanna, and havent seen to many more as i have to drive an hour just to see a cichlid where i live

Brandon ~ Thanks sir! Definitely keep a photo journal of them. Would be great to see these guys as they progress.

Wow! Thanks for the pictures John!!! How big are they? Would you say middle finger maybe? They look smaller in those pictures than I realized. How many do you have left?

They are probably 3 - 4" long. I'd say they're about as thick as a Sharpie pen. ;)

Part of me wants to go ahead and add them to my 210g. Do you think any of my larger fish, particularly my psittacus, would hurt them? I think they're quick and feisty enough to probably avoid him.

just hope i can can get some good pics, casio has a crappy camera waranty, spent 300 on a camera for my wife for christmas, take like 50 pics, and the lense quits opening, spend money to ship it in for repair and they send the junk p.o.s back saying they cant fix it because a few digits in the serial# are un readable due to a fold in the receipt, what kind of garbage is that, next time i'll buy a nikon, casio can sit and spin with there **** product, anyways took a few shots with my phone of my "red" gold severum and the pics arent to great, i'll figure somthing out
