Hi All, I have an 18" silver arowana that I am looking to place in a better home than a 55 gallon tank. All non-lowball offers considered. Please state your tank size as I do not want to sell to someone who cannot house this guy in a tank larger than mine. The aro has gill curl and is over 6 years old (bought as a baby in January of 2004). If there are no reasonable offers I will be donating to my LFS.

Tank equipment for sale: 55 Gallon tank, 55 Gallon stand, Emperor 400 Power Filter, 4-Pack filters, 50' Lee's water changing hose.

I wonder if it will grow anymore if it had the room? 6 years old and only 18" is not a good sign. Good luck with the sale. What is the fish eating anyway.
 
Yea, I'm not sure it will grow much. The thing is the fish doesn't eat as much as it would normally due to the lack of space, so I'm not sure if space will change that.

I feed it Hai Feng dry food.
 
damn crazy 6 years old and only 18 inches? wth super stunted. my silver's only 4 months old and already at 13-14 inches. goodluck with the sale and hope you find a better home.
 
Yea, mine was just like yours. It grew long really quickly and then it sorta just gained height and pretty much ate minimally (I'd always have to fish out a lot of the pellets).
 
free bump...just donate him to anyone/LFS that can house him properly..good luck
 
im driving home from ND on leave, and id take him off your hands but im only gonna be in buffalo. would only give u 50 tho 4 a 18 incher @ 6 yrs.. good luck
