A favorite lfs of mine who is a regular importer of South American fish gets some really rare fish in from time to time.. Needless to say he had 2 left of these bad boys left.. When I saw the label on the tank my mouth dropped, Cichla Orinocensis collection point Brazil. He is deff a reputable dealer that I have know for years and had no choice but to drop the coin and scoop these last two up. You have to see the holographic horizontal stripes down the side of one of them, it is unreal. I have had them for about 2 weeks now and they are close almost 3 and half inches now I am assuming. I will be posting updates on these guys from time to time.. Enjoy!

holy crap nice!!!!!!!!! :headbang2 cant wait to see this guys progress. does that horizontal line stay on them all the time?

Yup the horizontal line is always there so far.. I see where their rosettes should be developing.

jdmjunkiemonkie, no way these can be in SoCal because you guys get EVERYTHING over there. haha. Seriously though, the NY fish keeping market is terrible.
 
lol junkiemonkey, to make you feel better I will stick an offer on the table, send me one of those monster acrylic tanks that are always for sale out there and i'll send you one of these ;)
